I inherited an EMC FC-4500. Installed and ran Navisphere Agent/Manager
on my PC and modified the Agent.Conf file. However, I need the
managemnet password to destory the old LUNS and start creating new
ones.

The previous admins of the FC-4500 cannot be located. I also telneted
to port 23 on the box, but it's prompting me for a password.

The data on the SAN is of no value to me, is there a work around or
backdoor to reset the management password?

Any advice appreciated.

Have you spoken to EMC about it?

I have a call into our EMC FE, but since the box is no longer under
support, I don't know how much help EMC will be....hence my query.

I'm familiar with the CX line of Clariions, not the older FCs, but I'm
guessing that there's a serial port on each SP. That's where I'd start
looking. You can bet you won't be able to reset or change anything from
the network side.

I have a FC4500.. I'm not sure what your talking about.. If you
connect up directly to the SP via rs232 you should be able to do what
you need.

you will need to get into FCLI to do anything. If you do not know how
to do this you can email me.
