Hard disk filling up |
|
|
Have an XPPro SP2 recovered after bad crash. MSBackup using Shadow Copy to
networked SnapServer causes boot drive to fill up, nearly doubling used space
on boot disk each time. Norton System Information & other utilities report
9.6GB space use by files, which is appropriate for this laptop, but drive
self-reports 35.6GB used. Tried to backup last night but canceled after
Backup reported 55GB space used... Cannot see any files in area in question,
even setting Explorer to show all hidden & system files. CA Pest Patrol and
CA EZ Anti Virus find nothing, nor does Trend Micro on-line scan. Can anyone
think of anything that would cause MSBackup to fill up the boot drive when
backing up to an external drive? |
