Hello

I had backed up all my files from a computer some time ago and burned them onto cds. Since then I have purchased a new computer. I happened to notice these backup cds and attempted to access them. I found out after viewing the small “Read Me” file on the discs that I needed to recover the files from the cds using the backup software I used to create them

I assumed I used a Windows 98 or 2000 backup utility to create them, as I don’t remember using a third party software unless my HP CD-writer had backup utility software with it. At any rate I no longer have the HP CD-writer. I subsequently attempted to recover the files via Windows 98 and 2000 backup utility software; neither worked:

Is there any other way to resurrect these files? ---Matthe

I cannot see anything at all except the "Read Me" file and the fact that the file system is CDFS. I will try the HP website for software and let you know how that works. Thanks---Matt
