I want to use specbenchmark and am having some initial difficulties .

1. I have installed spec bench mark successfully and am able to run
shrc.bat command too.
2. but when i am using the command
"runspec --config=intel_nt_visual_studio --iterations=1 gzip"
i am getting the following error msg

runspec v2.01 - Copyright (C) 1999 Standard Performance Evaluation
Corporation
Loading standard modules..............
Loading runspec modules.............
Identifying output formats...asc...html...pdf...ps...raw...
We will use: 164.gzip
Compiling Binaries
Building 164.gzip ref base dec15a default
Error with make 'specmake build > make.out 2> mkae.err' : check file
'c:/cpu2000/
benchspec/cint2000/164.gzip/run/00000001/make.err'
Error with make!
Build complete
c:\cpu2000>

Can anyone tell what have i done wrong...i have followed all the
instructions in the document exactly as it is mentioned.

Thank You,
Kumar,

What does it say in the file

'c:/cpu2000/benchspec/cint2000/164.gzip/run/00000001/make.err' when you
look at it? As a circuit designer I would say that would be the best
place to start. After all, that is what the message above says to do.

I tried looking into
'c:/cpu2000/benchspec/cint2000/164.gzip/run/00000001/make.err' but
ther isn't one

Do you actually want to make changes to the benchmark sources and
recompile them or just want to run the benchmarks, if you just want to
run the benchmarks all you need are the input files from the source and
there is no necessity to recompile the source in that case.
