Hi, I would like to create a backup strategy for my 2 servers. But I don't know how to proced
Let me explain....

I want to make a daily backup of my servers and in the end of each week make a backup of all the week

The bast way to do this would create a Media with the backup of the each day of the week, and a second media with the backup of all the week

If there's a better way to do this, please tell me

Thanks,

That sounds like what most of us do.

Be sure you chose differential and not incremental for you daily backups.
If you choose Incremental and you crash just before your weekend backup you
will need all 5 sets to restore the server. Doing a differential will only
require 2 sets (per server)

Sounds good.

I run my dailies to hard disk and my weekly's to tape. The previous poster
mentioned Differential for the daily's which is absolutely the way to go if
you have lots of data but in my case I can afford the time and space to just
run daily's and weekly's as full backups. I retain two weeks of daily's and
put weekly's on one tape per month which is retained for the entire year.

12 tapes and a 200 gig external drive and I'm good to go. The nice thing
about the external drive is it's portable so if my backup server happens to
die I can just move it to another PC install the backup software and restore
my data. Of course if the external drive goes down I stand to lose my
daily's but the weekly backups are there so I'll only lose a max of 5 days.
Same could happen if you are putting all of your daily's on one tape.
