I noticed recently that I have a directory whose LastModified date is lower
than the one of the single file it contains. Is this expected ?

Also a coworker made a quick test. Creating a file in a directory updated
the LastModified date of the 1 or 2 first parent directory but finally left
rthe some upper levels but at some point, it is just left intact.

Is the expected behavior documented somewhere ?
