Is it possible to upgrade SAK 2.x to 3.x by taking down one node install SAK
3.x attach node to cluster then take down the other node and install SAK

Unfortunately, there is no upgrade path from SAK 2.x to Windows Storage
Server 2003.
Please contact your OEM for obtaining Storage Server 2003.

I understand that there is no upgrade path. but what i am asking is (in
order to minimize downtime) can a SAK2.x and Storage server 2003 coexist in
the same cluster (like windows 2000 and 2003)?

I could find no information whether you can have a Windows 2000 server and a
Windows 2003 server in the same cluster (since SAK2.x is based on Windows
Server 2000, and Storage Server 2003 is based on Windows Server 2003), so I
would assume that this is not a supported configuration.
In addition, based on
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/clustering.mspx,
there are differences in the clustering technology between the two OSs. This
also goes against the principle of clustering for high availability.
