Hi

I have ADC input data stored in an array. The array size will be a facto
of 16. The input signal is through a function generator. I want to do
spectral analysis of the signal using the eZdsp f2812.

I wanted to know which is the easiest way to do this. I was thinking o
taking the DFT of the array size.

My logic is to compute the real & imaginary parts separately and then fin
the magnitude for each spectral sample X(k) and store that in a resul
array. Will this give me an accurate result? Can the TI 2000 series FF
library be used for this in any way?

After this I was thinking of doing a peak detection of the array t
determine the frequency.

Any suggestions on an easier/faster way to do this? Thanks.

Vikram

Vikram,

There are great many ways to extract the frequency, depending on what
exactly is your task. FFT is neither the very best nor very universal.

May be you can just use a frequency counter :)

I don't now if is olso possible to use simple DCT conversion to this kind of
work.
