recovering deleted files. |

I'm having a problem with getting back files that were accidently deleted on
my computer. Mostly just pictres that were not meant to be deleted. I found
some downloadable software such as
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/framed.htm?parent=ARTICLE-FILENAME.htm&url=http://www.recover4all.com/
but it just looks fishy. I haven't been able to find anything on
microsoft.com though.I thought maybe their software would be more reliable
since I have windows XP and they are the manufacturers or whatever it's
called. any suggestions on how to recover these files with a reliable
software and one that is free or has a free trial? i'd apreciate any help,
these pictures were not meant to be deleted and i'd love to have them back. |

Greetings,
If you really wish to recover and not corrupt files I recommend Active@
undelete or Uneraser (for DOS) data recovery tools. These are extremely
powerful and reliable utils, they never failed me before.

Hi, Iva.
Have you already looked in the Recycle Bin?
How long ago were these files deleted? More importantly, how much disk
activity has happened since the deletions? Especially, how much writing to
the disk, as opposed to simply reading from it? Has the volume been
defragged since the deletions?
The last time I had to do a recovery project (about 3 years ago), R-Studio
saved my files. I'm not sure of the current status of that program, but I
see ads for it in current magazines. http://www.r-tt.com/

Hello,
EASEUS DataRecoveryWizard utility can help. Speaking about me, it was
easily able to restore deleted, lost file and unformat drive,
so I think you will also find it quite useful. Really recommended
tool, give it a try.
