Hi all,

has anybody had any experience with reverting the activation of the option
NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 8.3 short file names?
If all the existing files/dirs on a file share on a W2K3 SP1 file server
have been copied with the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation option active (value
1), how do you get the filesystem to regenerate the shortnames after
de-activating the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation option (value 0) and rebooting
the server?

You'd have to give them all an SFN by hand with SetFileShortName.
