SAN diagramming software |
|
|
Hi all,
I need to write an introductory documentation about SAN technologies.
Which software can I use for make a visual diagram (or a public domain
picture) to explain about:
-fiber cable and different connectors
-host bus adapter and GBIC
-topologies (switches, hubs, fabrics, naming schema...) and the different
ways they work together
-modular and monolitic array
....and a lot more. I prefer to use a Linux software. If there is no
Open Source software what software are available for windows and where can
I download them? How are u doing your design documentation with vendor
neutral software?
the software shoud be userfriendly with good looking templates.
thank you in advance

Don't mean to be rude, but if you need to ask a question like this, are you
the right guy to write that documentation??
If you're just looking for software to make the drawings, MS Visio, or a
Linux clone like Dia (http://freshmeat.net/projects/dia/) may help. If you
are looking for software that will generate SAN topologies for you, then
return your assignment..
