Hi,

I'm doing a project recently in which I have to periodically read a file
(using a Java Applet) to extract a number. However this number is updated at
random times by an external source (a data logging system).

I would just like to ask whether this file (in .csv format) can be
corrupted? I.e. if its read and written to at the same time. I am working on
the WinNT patform, and ideally the write operation will have priority over
the read at all times (so read can have some margine of error).

Thanks
