i don't think i had this problem before, but now when i leave winxp pro on
for a while, my hard drive slowly shrinks. longer winxp is on more and more
of my hd is getting used. it goes from 20g to pretty much nothing like
around 50mb or lower.
what the hell is going on. my other comp doesn't do this, running the same
winxp. thanks

We've no idea. You'll need to find the location and some details of what
files are being created. These may help.

check the system restore settings. This is a %age of total disk space, so if
you had a 80GB disk with 60GB of your stuff, by default system restore would
take something like 12% or approx. 10GB. Right click on my computer,
properties, system restore and click on settings. Also, try clearing the IE
cache and see how much it was consuming. If you have multiple users on the
system, each would have their own collection of cached junk.
