Not positive, but pretty sure NOT.
SS03 is supposed to be a File Server, period. Almost anything that is a
service has been locked out.
Remember the old Performance Switch of "Applications versus Files" (or
background versus foreground). Just think of SS03 as Win2003 with those
things preselected <GRIN>.
Treat it like a an optimized file-sharing appliance, that just happens to
be:
- manufactured by your favorite server vendor
- powered by your favorite and already deployed O/S family
- able to use best-of-breed third party utilities (like anti-virus,
replication, or backup)
- but built for remote managment and easy deployment.
