Hi,

I am trying to add an administrative installation for office 2003 and I
decided to create a DFS root so that I can have redundancy and more replicas
of that server share. I created a new folder for that and started the DFS mmc
console.
I added the new domain dfs root and created the new link , everything ok so
far.
After I created the link, everyone gets a message from the server saying
"Disk Full" cant save document. I checked the disk space and the NTFS
security settings and everything is OK !!
I can copy a file to a new file using explorer (so disk space is not the
matter here) but I cannot save a simple modification in an Excell or Word
file.
I read in one of your newsgroups someone asking for this problem but the
answer was inconclusive. In that message also stated that the "Disk Full"
message only appeared in apps like excell or word and not in a simple
copy-paste from windows explorer.

After I remove the DFS root and restart the server all goes to normal!!

Can someone explain this ?? and maybe give a workarround ?? or tell me what
I am doing wrong !!

I have, for now a mixed W2k W2k3 server environment and the server that has
the dfs root is a Windows 2000 server. But i tested this when I had a native
w2k domain with all the servers in W2k server and the results were the same.

Best Regards, Thanks in advance.
