I have a designed a sytem for ML401/ML403 board specific. I can download the system.bit file for ML401/ML403 board using Parallel 4 Cable (JTAG). If I am using Xilinx EDKs (XPS) to build the BSB I can load both system.bit and executable.elf. But my question is how would you download the executable.elf or executable.bin file onto the ML401/M403 board?

Let say that I am not using the Xilinx EDK tool, I am only using ISE 7.1i or 8.1i to create the design and load the system.bit file through JTAG. But how do I test my design with my application software?

Any light on this will be a great help. I have been trying to find the answer for it for long time. One idea I have is that, if I can write a shell script to load the executable.bin or executable.elf file onto the device. But I do not have exeperience writing such a scripts. Anyone may have done it or may be doing it, please replay and let me know if there is solution for this issue.
