Hello,

I am trying to write a small application which wud enable me to expose two interfaces. One interface will let a third party backup application freeze exchange/sql. Once the freeze is done the third party backup application will take the backup. After this it will then call the second interface to thaw exchange/sql. Is the above possible using VSS. I did take a look at the vshadow and betest samples. But the DoSnapshot api fires the freeze event, takes the snapshot and fires the thaw event. I do not want the snapshot to be taken. I just want to signal the freeze and thaw events for exchange/sql.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Deena
