Hi all,

I have a newly installed Windows Storage Server 2003 NAS and would like to
update with security/critical updates. I enabled windows update to allow
the updates (which I found interesting that they disabled this) but now just
want to verify that it's ok to update the server with critcal update patches
thru the update site. Everything I read indicates that it's ok to update
the server but again... just double checking.

Thanks for your help.

Chris

Hi Chris --
Yes, you can use Windows Update with WSS 2003. There's a white paper on the
best practice update strategy for WSS; here is the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/wss2003/techinfo/plandeploy/patchmgmt.mspx

Hope that helps!
