Greetings,

I have DFS shares with targets located on WIndows 2000/2003 servers in each
remote office. I used the /Insite: option to make sure clients only access
the local server. We have recently opened several 5 man or less offices that
do not justify placing a Windows 2000/2003 server in. I tried creating a
target on a local Windows XP PC but when local clients try to access it they
get the same access error message that a a site gets that does not have a
local DFS target. From the DFS management tool the target verifies fine. The
local clients can also access the target sharename fine. They just can't
access it using the DFS sharename. I can not find any documentation that
states that XP is not supported as a DFS target host.

Any help appreciated.

Thanx Frank
