Re: WinXP problem converting from FAT32 to NTFS |

Hi, Stefan.
I'm not familiar with that error message, but the problem is that you are
trying to convert the volume that you are currently using to do the
conversion. In other words, kind of like having Windows do brain surgery on
itself!
WinXP can make the conversion, but not without rebooting. As it says in the
WinXP Help and Support Center:
"If convert cannot lock the drive (for example, the system volume or the
current drive), it offers to convert the drive the next time the computer
restarts."

I have WinXP Pro and try to convert my both drives from FAT32 to NTFS.
When I follow the Windows instruction and type in the command prompt
convert c: /fs:ntfs,
I get an error which says:
convert: Unable to open file <c:>.
convert:Missing an image file [Permission denied].
Any help would be highly appreciated.
