adding additional DFS root |

Hi,
There are 4 sites (A,B,C,D) using Windows 2003 standard
edition. The DFS root is set in A first and links are
added from other sites.
For resilience purpose, I decided to add root targets for
all 4 sites. I am successful in adding root target in
site B but failed in site C and D. The error message
is "The following error occured while creating DFS root on
server C: The request is not supported."
In the right panel of the DFS admin tool, it shows
\\A\DFS Enable -
\\B\DFS Enable -
Demo DFS is setup using those servers before the current
one is setup. Is the problem due to unclean removal?
Pls help.

The error you're seeing means that the DFS servers in site C and D already
have an existing root. From what it sounds like, you had deleted the DFS
roots on those servers but you're still seeing this error, correct? I
usually refer people to the following KB to clean up old roots:
