I've got a 256 MB USB Flash device I've been using for a while with
installation files, etc. All of a sudden, it won't allow me to add or remove
files from it. Formatting isn't allowed either. It responds that the disk
is write protected.
This particular USB Flash drive doesn't have an external write protect
setting, and when viewing the drive's properties, there is no checkbox for
write protect.
I am unable to tell if any of the files on the device are locked, as though
in use, and don't know of any command line options for checking this either.
How could I have possibly set the entire dirve to write protect?
