Hello,

I'm running a group of W2K Servers, SP4 and I have a problem. On one
of the boxes, regardless of the account used, whenever I click Tools |
Folder Options... | File Types tab, all of the buttons on this form
are greyed out. I cannot add a new file extension to the affected
box. Since I can do it on other boxes of the exact same
configuration, I'm guessing it may be a registry fix (but only if I
knew where). Any suggestions? This has got me really perplexed and
it's critical that I need to add a new file type extension to this
machine. Thanks,

Any greyed-out program means its there, just its not active,or properly
configured in the system.Try installing xp cd,exit the info page,go to run,
type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow When the graph is thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F
Agree to restart,then type:EXIT Restart computer,remove cd.
