Okay so far so good but I get lost as to how to get to right clicking network
connection.....and also am I really clicking HAVE DISK @ #4?
Right-click the network connection, and then click Properties.
2. Click Install.
3. Click Protocol, and then click Add.
4. Click Have Disk.
5. Type C:\Windows\inf, and then click OK.
6. On the list of available protocols, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and
then click OK.
7. Restart the computer.

As i said in the beginning, there was no recovery disk provided....anyway,
managed to perform the task but apparently not to desired result....what
occurs is that IE will start to open a site and then the entire IE box
closes, same with any of the IM's, etc...perhaps a virus? I checked all
settings versus my HP with XP/SP2 and seems okay....I am kind of at a loss
