Hi,
I am in the process of installing a new Active Directory in my workplace.
The existing NT4 Domain is being repleced, the permissions on the file
server within the NT domain has not been administered very well, with
permissions being applied to file and share level and to users instead of
groups. Rather than trying to migrate this mess to the AD, I am starting
afresh with new groups and applying new permissions to the file server. Due
to the fact that user level security has been implemented, and I want to
replicate to users current access (within groups) with the minimal disruption
(and preferably minimal headache to me!!) Is there any way/tool capable of
scraping/extracting all of the current NT permissions set on the file server,
without going into the permissions of each invididual folder to see who has
access to it?

Any ideas very much appreciated as the file structure is quite extensive and
I do not want to look at folder properties until I am 65!

Many Thanks,

Andy
