I am tring to restore our file server to another server. I would like to
copy all the folders and there shares to this new server. Is there anyway I
can do this? I am going from a windows 2000 file server to a windows 2003
NAS server. I have a backup of the folders but when I redirected the restore
it only puts the folders on the new server and not the shares.

I need to copy these shares because it is a lot of them and would take a
very long time.

Any suggestions?

You could also try the File Server Migration Toolkit. It will copy all the
files, share settings, and permissions. There is also a way to prestaging
the target server using a backup.
