I'm currently using Win XP newly installed.

When i click on windows explorer and clicked C:, the torch just appears to
do searching. It takes a long time before i can view the rest of my file
system.

Please help!!!

I'd start by checking the drive for errors.
Click My computer. Right click your drive and left click properties.
Left click the tools tab and run the check volume for errors button.
