My Folder and Subfolder has NTFS-Rights - Change for users and Fullcontroll
for Administrators. This is, that normal User cannot Change the NFTS-Security
or cannot change the ownership.
This works fine for existing Folders an Files, but when the user create new
folders und Files it CAN change the NTFS-Security of the new folder or files.
The user ist the owner of the new folder/file.
My Problem is the following:
The User remove the Administrators from the NTFS-Security and the
Administrator has no rights...
How can i prevent this?
Regards Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for posting!

Even the user removed the administrator from this file, the administrator
can still take ownership of this file and then add back the rights.

Hi Jeff

Thank you for your Answer. I know this, that a administrator can take
ownership.

But, the User can also block the inheritance etc..(there are a few drawbacks)
This produce a lot of work and also trouble with the backup (no rights)...

Is there a alternative for prevent the user to change the ntfs-Security or
take ownership?

Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for posting!

I hope you can understand that when you mentioned that the user can create
a file there, he has the full rights in this folder.

Thus, he can create a file and then modify the NTFS permission to his own
file.

As long as you grant him the full NTFS permission, there is no way to
prevent the user to change the ntfs-Security.

Hope it clear the situation.
