A qustion about eio and checkpoint in SimpleScalar |
|
|
First, if I post this message in the wrong place, I am really sorry,
but it seems that the simplescalar mailinglist has been obsolete.
I wonder how can I dump a checkpoint in simplescalar. I am not clear
the relationship between the eio and checkpoint. Why I have to dump a
checkpoint during the execution of an eio trace? Before I use the eio
module, I think the checkpoint is independent with any other module,
since what it does is just dump the architecture status in certain
point. Am I right?
For example, if I want dump the checkpoint at the 100000000th
instruction of the execution of the gzip, what should I do?
I am not very clear with the structure of simplescalar, so I am sorry
if I made mistakes.
Thanks.
