Horus chipset for AMD K8 |

Newisys recently taped out the new Extendiscale chipset, (previously
code-named HORUS), which extends the scalability of AMD's Opteron from
8P to 32P and 64P ccNUMA systems.
Real World Technologies (www.realworldtech.com) arranged for our first
Engineering Roundtable, a real-time online discussion with Rajesh Kota,
the lead designer of HORUS in late September. The discussion touched
on areas ranging from the partitioning and RAS capabilities of HORUS,
to the unique remote data cache and the RTL used to model and design
HORUS. The transcript from this discussion can be found online at:

I encourage you all to take a look at the Roundtable transcript and to
participate in the future; we welcome all the regulars from comp.arch
to our Roundtables and forums at Real World Tech.
