Hello,

Id like to know more about filesystems on SD/MMC cards in detail.

Can anyone suggest the right procedure to learn how to access the SD
cards for storing retrieving information..

You may have to go through www.sdcard.org to get specs.

They aren't free.

SD cards are upward compatible to MMC cards, so the
MMC spec may work, but even it costs money.

www.mmca.org

They list their specs at $500 but it's probably
cheaper than SD.

This Toshiba SD Card data sheet contains detailed information on the
file system layout.
