"US Patent Confirms XBox2 Info?

A Patent, filed in June of last year, but accepted today, appears to confirm
much of the speculation regaurding the XBox 2 hardware. More specifically,
it to an extent confirms multiple CPUs, an internal hard drive, as well as
an external "media drive". Sounds like the XBox 2 will have a smaller
internal drive, and an optional external device built with a larger HD. Fits
right in with the rumors about Halo 2.743.

The information is highly technical, so expect some more posts soon
analyzing the data. There are also images associated with the patent that
I'm having trouble grabbing. I found this info at the Beyond3d forums.

Update: Another patent from today appears to relate to hardware accelerated
anti-aliasing. Sounds like the Xbox 2 will specifically have some hardware
devoted to ridding the world of dangerous jaggies."

I KNEW IT! I Knew it had to have a hard drive or mass storage device of some
kind. How can you not? That is part of what made the original XBOX so
popular. Coolio. Even if it is a couple gigs for storage of updates,
add-ons, and save game files that is fine with me. Then it sounds like you
can get an add-on drive to store other cool stuff like mp3's. Too bad they
don't offer two versions. One with a small hard drive, and one with a larger
one internal. Like 2GB flash RAM or a 40GB HD. I'd pay $50 more for the HD
version.

Recent rumors on the web speculate that there may be as many as 3 versions
of the XBox 2.
