I have been trying to un load iSCSI initiator 1.06 to load a newer version.
I get an error message telling me that "there is a problem with this Windows
Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not
be found....."

The 1.06 install files are on my desktop.

After this error message I get another one;
"Fatal Error during installation"

How can I get rid of the package?

Thank you.

After the installer finishes you can find a log-file in %SystemRoot% (don't know

the name by hand, but the time-stamp should betray it) in which you probably can
find more details about the error.

Hope this helps,
Ardana.

If it hasn't logged the anything automatically, try running the
installer for the *old* version with the following command-line:

msiexec.exe /x package.msi /l*v c:\mylog.log

That will log absolutely everything into c:\mylog.log as it tries to
uninstall.

I hope this helps,

Mark
