Hi NG,

is it possible, to use the Quantum (or HP) firmware on a Tandberg
streamer? The streamer is a DLT8000.

The Quantum Firmware should be O.K. since Quantum is the manufacturer and
sold the DLTs under the Tandberg label. I?m not sure about the HP firmware.
HP Library&Tape Tools probably won?t recognize the tape drive as HP and
might refuse to flash it. If it?s advisable to flash it with another tool I
don?t know since I didn?t use non-HP DLTs. I?d stay with the Quantum
firmware.
