Hi jamieb,
yes ther is a Tool.
take a look on your setup CD/DVD
navigate to the folder "support tools"
find a commandline tool "showaccs.exe"
the tool writes all security information into a *.csv file from shares,
printers, registry
then you can work with the data in excel.
it shows you:
-who has on that folder / partition anyway rights
-who has rights on file XY
-which rights has user A on file XY
a.s.o
good luck!
greets steve ;-)

file server. I have about 2 shares set up with different permissions
for users under the subdirectories. is there a utility that will list
out all the different permission on each file and subdirectory. For
example if I went to the directory and did a right mouse click and
properties and then selected the security tab I need that information.
except for the whole file system on each subdirectory. Any help would
be great! |
