Hello,

I have a lot of raw EMG data sets that I intend on processing to find
such things as coordination delay between antagonist/agonist muscles,
and perhaps characterize changes in frequency/amplitude/EMG "burst"
width. I have full wave rectified and low pass filtered the data.
My next step requires that I create some sort of filter(using MATLAB)
that will be able to pick up the onset/offset of a series of dynamic
muscle contractions(lasting anywhere from 3-8 minutes in length). I
have previously gone through the data and visually inspected/manually
marked the data for the onset/offset of bursts..however..since then I
have found other protocols that are more precise(and commonly used in
the literature). One such technique is to quantify a EMG "burst" as
anything 2-3 STDev's above the mean baseline reference.

Has anyone had any experience in this? any suggestions are welcome!
