Program to Draw Circuits? |
|
|
I am looking for a program that is made for drawing circuits.
I am going to draw a singlecycle CPU architecture and it would be nice to
use a more specific program than Photoshop. |

Then you don't want a program to draw circuits. You want a program to |
draw block diagrams. When you want a program to draw circuits, search
for "schematic capture". I use Analog Artist from Cadence.

I could not find anything called Analog Artist on www.cadence.com. |

Cadence changes names every year. It's "Virtuoso Custom Design Plattform"
this year (and if you type in "Analog Artist" into the search field at
cadence.com, you get as "best bet" a link to exactly this current name).
I draw block diagrams (those for documentation) with xfig. It's made for
that task, though it's interface is unusual. But so is Cadence's.

Apparently it has been renamed to Virtuoso something or other. Virtuoso |
Schematic is what the top of the window, and the "about" says
"Virtuoso Front to Back design"

But it seems that there is no demo for download.
Programs that cost what this one costs may not have downloadable demo. |
Call your Candence Salesdroid.
