Hi,

Basically I'd like to learn how to test a vss hw provider. I downloaded
vsssdk72 and compiled the hw provider but I don't really know how to test it.
I installed the the provider, ran the tests came with it and see all 21 tests
passed.

Then I ran "vshadow -p -new c:" successfully, and then I use "vshadow
-el=<SnapID>, f: to expose the shadow as drive f:, but I got error message
like the <SnapID> is not formatted as a GUID! The <SnapID> is
"3cfb8133--ed0-46ff-a65d-e31554974acd" in case you need to see it. I tried
several times and I always got the same kind of error message.

Am I doing the right thing to test the hw provider? Any hint is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

Ok, my bad. I need to put a barce {} around the SnapID so that the command
can work. But really, how do I test a VSS hardware Provider?
