Hello to all,

I'm trying to put Directory quota on Windows Storage Server 2003

I set a disk space limit and uncheck Passive Limit
I set Severe Alarm (90%) and check User Notification
I set Warning Alarm (80%) and check User Notification

I have no Severe or Warning Alarm on the user side
But I have got disk space limit notification on the user side

The user OS is W2000 PRO (french)
I have got a 2003 AD

I don't understand why there is no no severe or warning user alarm.

Thanks in advance,
Cyrille

That's OK

In fact user notification uses messenger service but in Windows Server 2003
this service is not not active.

Solution : Messenger sevice -> Startup type : Automatic
