I have a client that has a POS system that monitors a folder on their Windows
2000 Server for data to use to process credit card info.
They started having a slowdown that I was able to narrow down to the actual
file being writen to the shared folder on the server.
I can just run a batch file that copies a file from the workstation to the
server.. The results are a slow write on the first time, then acceptable
speeds on the next writes. If you wait for about 5 minutes, then try it
again, it is slow again on the first write.
I have disabled all realtime AV with no effect.
Does anyone maybe have any ideas as to what to try next?
Thanks in advance for any help.
