problem w/ trying to add a mirror to boot volume |
|
|
Hi,
I have just built a Win Server 2003 box with SP1. I have converted both
hard disks to dynamic, and it has been rebooted twice. But when I
right-click on my system drive and select "Add Mirror" and then try to select
Disk 1, I get "You cannot mirror the current boot volume on another disk with
a different partition style."
The disk I'm trying to mirror to is completely unallocated and dynamic.
Both disks are the same size. I'm not sure what to do as Googling for this
problem doesn't come up with much. And all the Technet articles say "Just
click add mirror and there you go!"
Any ideas? I'm kind of stuck, and I would like to mirror the drive. Thanks
in advance. |

uh... *grins sheepishly* nevermind.
I just needed to convert it to an MBR volume. Hopefully, if someone else
has this problem, they'll see this and find the answer quicker than I did.
Thanks anyway.
