Hi,

I am electrical engineer specializing in channel coding
algorithms. I want to implement some in FPGA,
does anybody knows a good introductory book for
FPGAs? Do I need a VHDL book too?
For the moment I have good knowledge of programming
languages like ANSI C, Fortran etc...

Regards

I have programed many of the channel coding algorithms such as:

Reed-Solomon 255,223 Nasa standard with Masey-Berlecamp decoder

Trellis Coded Modulators with 8PSK or 16 QAM and Viterbi (Soft or hard decoders)

Turbo Codes (binary and symbol) with Maximum Aposteriori Decoder

annd almost finished an LDPC coder with the Sum-Product decoder....

but only in ANSI C and Fortran Languages...I do not have enough time to proceed in FPGA.....

Rgds
