Re: Problem in XP: Creating Partition on NTFS |

Hi, Max.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the XP Recovery Mode". Do you mean the
Recovery Console, reached by booting from the WinXP CD-ROM and choosing
Repair? You should not need that for this project.
Can't you simply boot from the WinXP CD-ROM and press Enter to Install
WinXP? This should bring you to a screen that lets you create a partition,
including deleting existing partitions if necessary. Then you can format
that partition as NTFS.

a

a host of other issues). It is a IDE 58Gb Maxtor and my Compaq recovery
diagnostic seems to think everything is fine with the harddrive? Any
suggestions? I'm trying "format c:" from the XP Recovery Mode. |
