MF R1 - Ring forward signal

Postby rajanikanth » Wed Dec 14, 2005 5:16 pm

Hi,

We are developing the MF signalling, in that we are facing problem is,
how to add the Ring forward signal to MF R1 signalling ?

Here are some more questions.

When we need to send Ring-forward Signal ?
(After detecting the delay-dialing or after detecting the Answer-signal?

My ideas are bellow, please make comments regarding.

If We want to send Ring-forward Signal ,we send more than 6 frames and
less than 14 frames Tone-On.
After that we again send Tone-off (Connet Signal).

At Incoming Side :

1) First Tone-off we detect as Connet-Signal(more than 14 frames).

2) After this if it detects the Tone-on in more than 6 frames and less
than 14 frames and after this if it detects Tone-off (more than 4
frames) ,we detect this as Ring-forward signal .

3) After this if we detect the Consecutive long tone-off ,if it is not
connect signal then what is it?

If KP signal or any other is not detected then what should be the time
duration to send the connect signal ?

Regards,
Rajanikanth.

I think you'd have more success getting an authoritative answer to this
in a telecoms news group. Its a signalling question, rather than a
signal processing one.

I haven't worked with R1 very much, but from what I have done I don't
understand your questions. R1 uses forward only signals. The are 68ms
long except for KP. KP is 100ms long. Detection is not an issue, since
the duration is largely irrelevant - KP is always a bit longer than the
others, but that doesn't matter as it uses distinctive tones.

I assume the frames you refer to are your own internal tone processing
blocks. The specs just refer to duration in milliseconds.
